Registering with Buyboard Cooperative Purchasing
The BuyBoard is an online purchasing cooperative designed to streamline the purchasing process and help its members make confident buying decisions. It is a 20 year old comprehensive purchasing cooperative developed for local governments and one that can reduce purchasing costs on products and services being procured today. The goal of the BuyBoard is to drive down costs and make the procurement process more efficient.
The BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative would like to register your company with the BuyBoard so that you will receive notifications of Request for Proposal (RFP) opportunities as they become available for local government agencies that include schools, cities, counties, colleges, universities and other local government agencies. BuyBoard members are constantly looking for certified HUB/MWBE businesses and contracting with the BuyBoard provides an avenue to reach the enormous local government market place. If you are awarded a contract with the BuyBoard, you will be able to receive bid request directly from the members.
To register – follow these steps:
- Go to BuyBoard.
- Click the “Register/Login/Submit Proposal” link on the right- hand side of the page.
- Click the link under New Vendor, complete the form, and create a unique password.
Registration is free. You will receive a confirmation e-mail once you have been added to the registration list.
Registering does not place your company on the BuyBoard. Vendors must first be awarded a BuyBoard contract.

U.S. Communities is a national cooperative purchasing program, providing government procurement resources and solutions to local and state government agencies, school districts (K-12), higher education institutions, and nonprofits looking for the best overall supplier government pricing. In June 2017, NIGP announced U.S. Communities as the first cooperative program to earn the NIGP Accredited Cooperative (NAC) accreditation.
Companies interested in becoming suppliers under the U.S. Communities program should periodically check the U.S. Communities Current Solicitations page for postings of Requests for Proposal and Invitations to Bid issued by lead public agencies on behalf of the U.S. Communities program. Lead public agencies are generally members of the U.S. Communities Advisory Board that have decided, after consultation with the Advisory Board, to conduct solicitations on behalf of their own agency and other public agencies across the country under the U.S. Communities label.
