Alissia Canady represents Kansas City’s 5th District. For the 2015-2019 council term, Mayor Sly James has appointed Canady to serve as Chairwoman of the Neighborhoods and Public Safety Committee and Vice Chair of the Ethics and Legal Review Committee. She also serves as a member of two additional committees: Housing; Small Business, Entrepreneurship and Jobs.
