Our esteemed judges, who are at the helm of our Courts, are appointed by the Mayor and City Council through a merit selection system that requires voter approval every four years. A clerk and bailiff are assigned to each judge. While each judge handles many types of cases, some of our judges also preside over specialized problem-solving courts: Mental Health Court, Drug Court, Veterans Treatment Court, Domestic Violence Court, Truancy Court and Housing Court.

Reinstatement Court: Third (3rd) Wednesday of the month at 1:30 p.m.
Courtroom D – Presiding Judge Corey A. Carter
Truancy Court: Tuesdays at 9 a.m.
Courtroom E – Judge Courtney A. Wachal
Domestic Violence Court: Monday – Friday at 9:00 a.m.
Drug Court: Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
Courtroom F – Judge Anne J. LaBella
Courtroom G – Judge Katherine B. Emke
Courtroom H – Judge Joseph H. Locascio
Courtroom I – Judge Todd D. Wilcher
Housing Court: Monday all day; Tuesday – Thursday at 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Animal Violations: Tuesday and Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
Fire Code Violations: Thursday at 11:00 a.m.
