The Kansas City Missouri Municipal Court will cancel all walk-in dockets on Friday, May 24. All other Municipal Court hearings and operations will take place scheduled.
The walk-in dockets are primarily for people with warrants, especially for failure to appear. It is an opportunity for them to ask a judge to will set aside the warrant and give them another court date without having to go through the expense of posting bond. However, individuals going to the walk-in docket should be prepared to post bond because there is a possibility that the judge will not cancel their warrant and will choose to take them into custody instead.
To post bond go to the Violations Bureau on the first floor of the Municipal Court from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or to any Kansas City Police Department Patrol Station.
