The following is the latest progress report about the Kansas City Museum Renovation Project.

Kansas City Museum Progress Report June 19, 2017

Also, thank you to those who attended the Community Conversation Session on July 27. We appreciate your feedback on parking layout concept options for 2019, and we are grateful for the continued support.

At this event, we tallied participant votes on each option, and the results of the voting showed support for development of a designated parking solution for 2019.

Furthermore, the vote tallies showed the highest-ranked parking layout option for cars was the angled-parking option on the east and west sides of Walrond Avenue. Please see this layout attached below.

A final decision on the parking solution for 2019 will not be made until the Museum allows more time to seek formal input from all stakeholders, including Historic Northeast neighbors and neighborhoods. In addition, the Museum will begin to explore options for walking, bikes, public transportation, and shuttles. Another Community Conversation Session will take place in the coming months and before the end of 2017.

If you have questions, comments, or ideas that the Museum has not yet explored, please don’t hesitate to contact Steff Hedenkamp at steff@redquill.com or (816) 506-4630.
