Contractors Gather For Informational Meeting
More than 30 contractors, including many women and minority contractors, convened inside the Robert J. Mohart Center to learn the procedures necessary to work for the city. The city’s Neighborhoods and Housing Services Department (NHSD) held an informational meeting March 10 for contractors wanting to work on projects for the NHSD’s Housing and Energy Conservation Division.
Specifically, the NHSD was- and still is- looking for plumbers, electricians, HVAC professionals, roofers and general contractors.
“We discussed the various programs where we need contractor help and went through the requirements to become a city vendor,” said Roger Stewart, section manager of the housing and energy conservation division.
