City Announces Appointment of Retirement System Executive Officer
Barbara Davis joins KCMO to safeguard and direct pension assets
City of Kansas City, Missouri, announced today the appointment of Barbara Davis to the position of Retirement System Executive Officer in Department of Human Resources.
The Retirement System Executive Director will ensure that the City of Kansas City, Missouri employee pension systems are properly safeguarded and are soundly invested. In this role, the Executive Officer will provide direction regarding investment policies, guidelines and objectives; asset allocation; funding requirements; cost controls, and other duties as needed.

Barbara Davis brings more than 20 years of professional experience to Kansas City, including tenure with Bank of America and most recently serving as Pension Manager for the City of Wichita, Kansas.

Davis will join the City of Kansas City in the role of Retirement System Executive Officer on June 8, 2015. She replaces former Executive Officer, Richard Boersma, who retired at the end of March.
