City working to improve accessibility at Health Department
Parking lot and Sidewalk improvements scheduled to begin April 10
The City of Kansas City, Missouri, Health Department will temporarily close the main entrance beginning on April 10, due to construction on the inner loop of the parking lot and the sidewalk. All visitors to the Health Department are asked to use the entrance on the northeast corner of the building, which is closest to the corner of 24th St. and Troost Ave.
This important construction project is part of the City’s ongoing work to assure that public buildings are accessible to all guests. This construction project will improve access for those who have difficulty walking or who use a wheelchair, cane, crutches or other assistance.
The construction project is expected to take about two weeks to complete. During construction, other portions of the Health Department’s off-street public parking will remain open.
