Kansas City’s Three Trails Recycling Center, located at 9051 Hillcrest Road, will close temporarily while the facility is relocated to a new location at 5630 East Bannister Road. The new facility will begin accepting recyclable materials effective Wednesday, February 11. The facility will be open Wednesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The facility accepts a variety of materials including glass, aluminum, tin, paper, cardboard, plastics and toner and inkjet cartridges.
Kansas City also offers recycling services at 400 N.W. Barry Road. Residents may recycle household hazardous materials at the Environmental Campus, located at 4707 Deramus Ave.
