Kansas City and Lead Bank Partnership supports local small business & entrepreneurship
The City of Kansas City and Lead Bank are proud to announce a new partnership to help local small businesses gain access to banking and financial services. The partnership is part of Kansas City’s ‘For Change’ initiative which is designed to provide financial services to local small and minority businesses that do business with the City of Kansas City, Mo. As part of the initiative, Lead Bank has committed to servicing a minimum of ten new loans for approved applicants during the first year of the partnership. Applicants that have a current contract to conduct business with the City of Kansas City, Mo. may use that contract as collateral to submit loan applications at Lead Bank’s downtown branch, located at 1801 Main St. Firms may also contact Lead Bank regarding other banking needs and services.
“Kansas City is committed to strengthening local small and minority owned businesses,” said Philip Yelder, Director of Human Relations. “With support from Lead Bank, businesses who work directly with the City of Kansas City, Mo. will have access to the financial services they need to grow their businesses.”
Residents and media are invited to attend the ceremonial signing recognizing the City’s partnership with Lead Bank. There ceremony will take place on Oct. 13 at 1 p.m. at Lead Bank’s new downtown branch, located at 1801 Main Street in the Crossroads Art District.
