Mayor and City Manager take KCStat hot seat
City’s nationally-recognized KCStat examines performance indicators of Mayor and City Manager on Aug. 25
Tomorrow, KCStat will put Kansas City’s Mayor Sly James and City Manager Troy Schulte in the ‘hot seat’ as they publicly examine measured indicators tied to citizen satisfaction with the goals for each office. KCStat is a data-driven initiative focused on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of City services.
KCStat started in December 2011 to measure the City’s effectiveness in driving toward the City Council’s strategic priorities. During most KCStat meetings, the Mayor and City Manager ask tough questions of Department leaders with regard to specific satisfaction and performance indicators. This time, the Mayor and City Manager will answer questions from the public and from Bloomberg Associates moderator, Rose Gill Hearn.
The public is invited to join the Mayor and City Manager on Tuesday, August 25th for this first-ever examination of citizen satisfaction with City leadership. KCStat will take place beginning at 9 a.m. on the 10th floor of City Hall. Residents who are unable to attend may watch the meeting online or on Channel 2, and participate by asking questions via Twitter using #KCStat. All KCStat sessions are open to the public; the sessions typically take place on the first Tuesday of each month from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
