Public Invited to Kansas City’s 7th Annual Civil Rights Summit
Registration for the April 24 event is now open
The City of Kansas City, Missouri Human Relations Department Civil Rights Division is pleased to announce “The New Face of Protest” event marking the City’s 7th Annual Civil Rights Summit. This free event aims to provide the public with information regarding fair housing, equal employment, current Hispanic cultural issues, and healthy communities and race.

Pamela Meanes, President of the National Bar Association, is scheduled to deliver a keynote presentation during the event.
About the Keynote Speaker:
Pamela J. Meanes began her term as President of the National Bar Association (NBA) on July 31, 2014, after having served as NBA President-Elect since July 2013. Prior to serving the NBA as President-Elect, she served as NBA vice president. Ms. Meanes is also a past Director of the NBA’s Region VIII, Ms. Meanes is a Past President of Mound City Bar Association and currently Co-Chair of the ABA Section of Litigation Legal Service Project.
