FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: May 17, 2016
Land Bank is now accepting applications for the 2016 Board of Advisors. Members of the advisory board will offer recommendations for Land Bank program enhancement and provide information relevant to evolving policy and practices. Advisors represent a cross-section of neighborhood and homeowner associations registered with the City of Kansas City, residential construction and remodeling professionals, real estate and banking professionals, marketing professionals, Fund Development and Design/Planning organizations.
Kansas City’s Land Bank was established in 2012 to help address the City’s growing number of vacant and abandoned properties. Since then, Land Bank has helped more than 500 homeowners find properties for rehabilitation and occupancy.
Because Advisors are not paid, volunteers are sought. If you are interested in serving on the Board of Advisors, contact Ted Anderson at 816-513-9049. Applications will remain open until the positions are filled.
