FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: May 26, 2017
The City Council is inviting the public to offer more feedback on the unique proposal to privately finance a single terminal at Kansas City International Airport.
Two additional public hearings are set for June 5 and June 8, bringing to four the forums that have been provided for residents and others to learn more about the plan set forth by Burns & McDonnell to use private financing to design and build a single terminal at KCI.
The first two hearings, held at the Kansas City Airport Marriott on May 23 and City Hall on May 25, gave residents the chance to directly give feedback to the City Council.
Here’s the schedule:
Monday, June 5
Bruce R. Watkins Center
3700 Blue Pkwy.
Thursday, June 8
26th Floor City Council Chambers
414 East 12th St.
Details about the proposal are available at kcmo.gov/newkci.
Residents can also provide input by visiting our online town hall, KCMOmentum.
Media inquiries should be directed to Airport and Transportation & Infrastructure Joint Committee Co-chairs: Councilwoman Jolie Justus at 816-513-6518 and Councilman Jermaine Reed at 816-513-6513.
