The City’s 2017 Home Repair Program is accepting applications from Kansas City, Missouri, homeowners unable to afford vital home repairs. Funding for the program comes from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant Program and applicants must meet HUD income guidelines.
A variety of plumbing, electrical, roofing and mobility-related projects are covered including main water lines, sewer mains and drain lines, main panel electrical work and new roof installation. Go to KCMO.gov to see a complete list of eligible projects and to download application forms.
Applications will be accepted until all funds have been allocated. Applications are also available at the Neighborhoods and Housing Services Department office on the fourth floor of City Hall from 8 a. m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
This service is offered to single-family homeowners who have not received home repair services from the City in the last five years. The program does not service rental property, mobile homes, duplexes or multi-family dwellings.
