NEWS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: March 14, 2017
The search for more efficient ways to lower operating costs is an ongoing campaign for commercial and industrial business owners. To help out, the City of Kansas City, Missouri’s KC Green Education and Outreach Team is co-sponsoring a forum on March 30 to focus on energy conservation.
The City is partnering with Diversified Power Developers to bring business representatives together to learn about innovative technologies that can save both energy and money by reducing peak demand charges. Topics will include LED lighting, energy storage, peak shaving and solar energy.
The meeting will be held at the Kauffman Foundation Conference Center, 4801 Rockhill Rd., from noon to 1:30 p.m. A complimentary lunch will be provided.
In addition to tax incentives and conventional financing options, former city councilman John Sharp will be there to discuss PACE financing. Mark Hess of Kansas City Power & Light will talk about utility rebates and other financing options. Attendees also will learn about the City’s energy conservation projects and programs.
To register, call 816-423-2589 or register online by March 26.
