City leaders, including 2nd District Councilman Dan Fowler and 1st District Councilwoman Heather Hall, are meeting with all key parties to discuss ongoing trash/recycling collection issues in the Northland. The meeting is Tuesday, July 24 at 11 a.m. inside the 10th floor committee room at City Hall. Fowler said it is time to find “a permanent solution” and is calling for a full review of the current trash service provider’s contract.
“It’s time to get a more dependable, professional provider,” Fowler said. “Untimely trash pickup is more than an inconvenience, it’s a health issue and it can be neighborhood codes issue, as well.”
Fowler and Hall encourage Northland residents to continue to call 311 regarding issues with trash service so the City can document what Fowler called “the need for better service.”
