FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: July 26, 2018
City leaders will gather in the Northland on Friday to kick off a reconstruction project on Old Tiffany Springs Road.
This project will upgrade Old Tiffany Springs Road from N. Congress Avenue to NW Skyview Avenue. Improvements include:
- new four-lane roadway with a median
- curb and gutter
- new sidewalk and trail
Crews will construct a new bridge over I-29 and the City will work with MODOT to implement minor lane improvements along I-29. The project will last two years and the existing bridge over I-29 will remain open during the majority of the construction.
2nd District Councilmembers Dan Fowler and Teresa Loar will join project representatives and partners at the intersection of NW Skyview Avenue and Old Tiffany Springs Road at 9:30 a.m. for the July 27 groundbreaking.
The project is being funded by a $4 million Federal Surface Transportation Program (STP) grant with remaining funding provided by the KCI Corridor TIF.
