FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Jan. 11, 2018
City offices and 311 will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15, to observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Curbside trash and recycling pick up will shift to the holiday schedule, which means your pickup will be one day later than usual.
Christmas is long gone but residents can still recycle those real trees. Kansas City residents can dispose of their trees for free – Saturdays only – through Jan. 13 at the city’s three leaf and brush sites: 11660 N. Main St.; 1815 N. Chouteau Trafficway; and 10301 Raytown Rd. Trees must be free of tinsel, lights and ornaments. Proof of residency is required. Trees can also be dropped off at the sites Monday through Friday, but a $5 fee will be charged on those days.
