The City Planning and Development Department in Kansas City, Mo. is updating the Greater Downtown Area Plan (GDAP). Area plans recommend strategies to help realize a community’s long term vision and we’re asking you to help us provide a comprehensive framework to guide public decisions on land use, housing, public improvements, community development and city services.
The Greater Downtown Area Plan boundary includes 14 diverse neighborhoods on both sides of the Missouri River, from North Kansas City to 31st Street and State Line to Woodland Avenue. If you have a connection to this area, this is a great opportunity to give your input!
At the meeting, you can expect an overview of the current GDAP and what has changed in the area since the original plan was adopted in 2010. You will have the opportunity to give input on staff’s proposed recommendations for the plan update.
