Service Analysis Report
The City Planning and Development Department is excited to release the results of its Service Analysis Report for 2016. CPD embarked on a service analysis in 2014 to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of current business processes and service performance. The 2016 report highlights the completed recommendations and those still in progress. The Service Analysis will lay the foundation for CPD’s Strategic Business Plan.

The original report, published July 2014 by Zucker and Associates, made several recommendations to improve customer service and all areas of operations. We used the report as a roadmap to implement changes, including everything from better communication to customers to organizational changes in our management structure. Several of these recommendations have already been put in place. Also, new software to upgrade our business practices has already been purchased to help our department staff deliver better service, and the implementation of that software is beginning.
Progress made toward the implementation of the recommendations found in the report will be tracked and published via the Implementation Status spreadsheet. This spreadsheet will be updated periodically as we make recommended changes to improve our level of service and work to achieve the goals.
