The physical abilities test is an obstacle course designed to simulate challenges that could be encountered during an officer’s tour of duty. Applicants must demonstrate their ability to maneuver through the course with minimal errors. The physical abilities course is administered following the P.O.S.T.
After passing the P.O.S.T. and the physical agility test, the applicant will receive an appointment time to report to the department for completion of the application process. The completed application and support documentation is forwarded to a Recruiter.
