Tip-A-Cop Huge Success!
Area Law Enforcement and “Corner Café” Come Together to Fundraise for
Special Olympics Missouri
On April 27th, 2013, law enforcement officers from around the Kansas City, Missouri area joined forces with the three area “Corner Café” Restaurants for the annual Tip-A-Cop fundraiser to benefit Special Olympics Missouri.
From 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., officers from the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department, Riverside Department of Public Safety, Liberty Police Department, Pleasant Valley Police Department, Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, Independence Police Department and the Kansas City, Missouri Housing Department assisted the regular wait staff with taking orders, serving food and cleaning tables at each of the three restaurant locations.
This year’s event, due to the overwhelming generosity of the “Corner Café” Restaurants their loyal customers, raised nearly $12,000.00! Special Olympics Missouri and all of the participating law enforcement agencies would like to sincerely thank the “Corner Café” and everyone who gave to benefit this great cause.
