KC Parks and Fountains
Kansas City is known as the “City of Fountains.” The Kansas City Public Library states that nearly 200 fountains have been registered and that doesn’t include all of them. Parks & Recreation has a list and descriptions of all fountains maintained by the City as well as all City-maintained parks and facilities.
Parking in Downtown KC
There is plenty of parking in downtown KC! View a map of parking options downtown. The City’s Parking page features information and a list of parking garages maintained by the City. There’s also Parkmobile app you can use to pay for parking without digging for coins at a meter.
Kansas City Streetcar
Sit or stand while you ride through the heart of Downtown KC on the KC Streetcar. The 2.2 mile route along Main Street connects the River Market to Union Station/Crown Center with 16 stops along the way. It’s free to ride and streetcars arrive approximately every 10- 15 minutes during peak hours.
If you want to explore more than just the downtown area, the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) operates local and express routes, demand-response, bus rapid transit, paratransit, and vanpool services.
