Home MenuADA Corner Ramp Upgrades
KCMO Public Works is working to repair and install corners and ramps in compliance with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
The ADA Corner Program receives roughly $2.5 million each year through the GO Bond Program.
Since the start of the GO Bond Program in 2017, we have repaired over 350 ADA ramps around the city.
The graph below shows progress toward ADA corner ramp upgrades. As of summer 2020, all ramps from GO Bond Year 1 (2017-2018) were completed and about half of ramps from Year 2 (2018-2019) were completed. ADA Curb upgrades were not funded in 2019-2020. As long as ADA ramp work is funded, this work will contine for the life of the current GO Bond: until 2037.
