General Services Department divisions consist of:

Municipal Art Commission

Also known as the City Architect's Office, the Municipal Art Commission oversees the planning, space allocation, design and construction of City-owned buildings. This also includes the selections of finishes, materials and furniture. The city architect oversees the Municipal Art Commission and the City's 1% for Art Program.

Procurement Services

Formerly known as "Purchasing and Supplies," the Procurement Services Division now includes two distinct groups working together to provide City departments with best-in-class procurement services. The division procures a wide range of commodities, services, construction and related services for capital improvements, facilities, repair and maintenance, and such things as demolition of dangerous buildings and right-of-way clearance. The Procurement Services Division includes the City's Surplus Property Office with responsibility for the disposal or redistribution of all City-owned property (other than real estate) deemed surplus by its owning department. The Records Office provides oversight and management for all City records including use, transfer, storage, protection and disposition of all City records. Mail Room and Print Center operations are also part of the division.

City Real Estate Office

The City Real Estate Office is responsible for leasing, sales, acquisitions and management of the City’s real property assets.

Mohart Center

The Robert J. Mohart Multipurpose FOCUS Center (formerly the Linwood Multipurpose Center) has a rich legacy of service to the community. More than 100 years old, it has been a school, synagogue, meeting hall and now a community center.

The center has meeting rooms, audio-visual equipment and staff committed to assisting residents host community meetings, social, cultural and educational events and non-partisan political forums. General Services provides administrative support services and oversees several programs that operate out of the Mohart Center.
