Kansas City Public Theatre presents "Crush" by Russell Langdon at Capsule (1664 Broadway, KCMO).
Kate wants desperately to go to college but is hindered by outrageous tuition cost and the most severe income inequality in American history. Her parents work multiple jobs to afford an apartment in the crawl space of a wealthier family’s home, called a Crush apartment. Without the ability to walk upright in their own home, the family saves toward freeing their son, Tom, from an unjust imprisonment. Each family member must decide what lines they’re willing to cross to obtain their ideal life. Learn more at kcpublictheatre.org
