"African Americans and the Vote" FREE program
The Association for the Study of African American Life and History, founders of “Black History Month,” has set the national theme for 2020 as “African Americans & the Vote.” American Jazz Museum, in partnership with Greater Kansas City Black History Study Group and the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, explore this theme on Sun., Feb. 9, 2020.
The program at the American Jazz Museum (1616 E. 18th St., KCMO) features a discussion with Mayor Carson Ross (Blue Springs, MO) and former KCMO Mayor Sly James, moderated by Michelle Tyrene Johnson (KCUR 89.3).
