Please join the City of Kansas City on Friday, March 31, 2023, for the International Transgender Day of Visibility. We are proud to welcome Admiral Rachel L. Levine, MD the Assistant Secretary for Health with the Department of Health and Human Services. She is the highest-ranking transgender person in the Federal Government.

We are also welcoming community members JD Bezares, the Housing Commissioner for City of Kansas City LGBTQ Commission, Nyla Foster, Digital Organizer for PROMO, Kelly Nou, a Kansas City Trans Activist and Icon, Jordan Burns, a KC Trans Youth Leader, and Merrique Jenson the Founder & Executive Director, Transformations, alongside City leadership to acknowledge the importance of this day.

This event will start around 3:00 p.m. and will be streamed online; local and national media will also be invited. We ask that media and attendees respect the privacy of those in the audience and focus their cameras to the speakers on stage. This is a safe event, and security will be present to ensure this.
