This is a free one-day public event to be held on Flag Day, June 14. The ceremony will honor the memory and sacrifices of our Korean War veterans and the over 900 who were Killed in Action and the three Medal of Honor recipients from the State of Missouri, during the Korean War. City and state dignitaries will be invited. The designated keynote speaker is Representative David Griffith. The ceremony will include honors to the flag by a Color Guard, Taps, and a 21-gun salute will by American Legion Posts 189 Kansas City, MO and Post 213 Kansas City, KS.
