PIAC Projects

Kansas City relies on residents to recommend areas for improvements in the community by submitting a request to the Public Improvements Advisory Committee (PIAC).

If you have submitted a PIAC Project you can search for details of the project with your PIAC number.

Project Description:

The four way stop at 43rd and Pitman is located south of I-70 and east of Arrowhead stadium. The design will improve the roadway, replace the bridge, and make geometric improvements to the four-way stop.

Roadway improvements include:

  • Road widening
  • Sidewalks on both sides
  • Curb and gutter
  • Streetlights
  • New bridge

Traffic Impact:

This project is currently in the design phase, there are no impacts to traffic at this time.

Project Timeline:        

Current status: June 2022: 60% Design is complete and project is being put on hold until construction funding is available.

General project timeline:  Design process began April 2019 and is currently ongoing. Construction fund is not available at this time.
