Auditing alone does not directly produce benefits or impacts for the city; it only comes from implementation of audit recommendations.  The Audit Report Tracking System (ARTS) is a process designed to monitor progress towards implementation of audit recommendations.  City departments, boards, commissions or other offices of the city audited by the city auditor are required to submit a progress report every six months on the implementation of audit recommendations. 

 It is the goal of the City Auditor’s Office that 75 percent of audit recommendations are implemented within 2 years of the audit being issued. The benefits of our audit work only come from gaining the support of management towards the effective implementation of audit recommendations.

The interactive dashboard provides an overview of the audit recommendations from audits conducted by the City Auditor’s Office since 2016 and the implementation status of those recommendations.  The dashboard allows users to view and sort audit recommendations by department, implementation status, fiscal year, and audit report.  To safeguard sensitive information, recommendations provided in closed record audits are not available on the dashboard.

You can explore our dashboard by selecting one of the categories listed at the bottom of the main page or you can independently navigate the dashboard by clicking through the left and right arrows provided below the interactive graphic.  Some graphics include an option to scroll down or across within the graphic, highlight details and data points, or apply filters to narrow the data.  You can reset any activated filters by clicking on the ‘Clear all slicers’ button.

Full screen mode is available by clicking on the arrows near the bottom right corner of the dashboard. 

To find a specific audit report, select the Detail by Report page of the interactive dashboard and use the drop-down menu to select the desired report.
