The NTDF 2025-2026 Annual Application Cycle OPENS December 9th at 8 am and CLOSES January 17, 2025 at 5 pm.
Registrations for new organizations closes January 10 at 5 pm.

*This cycle is for events taking place from May 1, 2025 through April 30, 2026.

Application Cycle:

Neighborhood Tourist Development Fund (NTDF) event applications are accepted on an annual basis, with an optional mid-year cycle.

  • Annual Cycle - for events taking place May 1 - April 30.
  • Optional Mid-Year Cycle - For events taking place November 1 - April 30.

For all Application Cycles:

  • If you have not registered for prior application cycles, you will need to register through the NTDF Portal to gain access.
  • Applicants who have registered on the NTDF Portal in previous application cycles will sign on as usual and do not need to register again.
  • Please review the following training documents prior to logging onto the NTDF Portal and starting an application.
    These will provide an overview of the program.  And a good initial guide to using the Portal.

Applications must be submitted no later than 11:59 PM on the date the application is due.

Evaluation Criteria

The NTDF Committee has criteria to evaluate the merits of each application based on the values outlined by the City of Kansas City, Missouri.  Applicants should consider the following criteria (and corresponding weights) when completing an application:

  • Economic and Neighborhood Impact (55 points)
  • Activity/Program Merit and Excellence (25 points)
  • Organizational Capacity (20 points)
