Community Emergency Response Team, or CERT, consist of training to be better prepared for emergencies.  CERT is a nationally recognized certification.

The free training consists of 24 hours of instruction broken into 8 units.  The units cover topics such as:

  • Personal Preparedness
  • Home Safety
  • Team Organization
  • Disaster Medical Operations
  • Disaster Psychology
  • Fire Safety and Small Fire Suppression
  • Light Search and Rescue
  • Terrorism Awareness
