About Building and Fire Codes Board of Appeals

The Building and Fire Codes Board of Appeals hears appeals of orders, decisions or determinations made by the building official or the Fire Department Director.

Except in emergencies, any decision of the building official or the Fire Department director in the enforcement of the applicable code may be appealed to the board by any person aggrieved by any decision of either the building official or Fire Department director. Appeals must be made within 30 days from the date of the decision, order or other ruling to be appealed.
