The Permits Division administers contractor licensing and registration. The division is located on the 5th floor of City Hall and accepts walk-in customers, or you may call (816) 513-1500.

Walk-in customer hours are Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 4:30PM (excluding observed holidays). Walk-in customers are advised to arrive on the 5th floor no later than 4:15pm to ensure timely service.

Please see additional information, checklists and applications below. To perform construction-related work, both a contractor and a business license are required from the City Planning and Development Department and the Finance Department.
