Every Community Action Network Center (CAN Center) houses a community engagement officer or specialist from the City’s Neighborhood Preservation Division.  The CAN Center also provides a space for Kansas City Police Department officers to collaborate, take reports or conduct other business in a community setting. These representatives partner with residents and neighborhood leaders to improve the livability of the neighborhood. CAN Centers were developed as part of the Community Policing Initiative and have a wide range of partners including the following: Local Initiatives Support Corporation and the City’s Neighborhood Services Division.
