The Kansas City Health Department's Northland office makes it more convenient for residents north of the river to access public health services.

Services:
- Attend in-person food handler classes
- Receive a food handler card (Once a resident passes the online course, bring in the certificate of completion so we can process your card)
- If opening a restaurant or other food service business, we can help you navigate the permit process to obtain the proper permit(s)
- Obtain birth & death certificates
- Get flu, COVID, shingles and pneumonia vaccinations at our monthly vaccination clinic. Back-to-school vaccinations will be available June - August on the 2nd Thursday of the month.
- Walk-ins only, no appointments available.
- Please bring your child's vaccination records.
“We hope Northland residents will mark their calendars for the second Thursday of the month. A health department nurse will be on site with these important vaccines that prepare our bodies to fight when we’re exposed to these viruses,” said Marvia Jones, Kansas City director of health.
