Note: Every 4th Thursday, hours are reduced to 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM for staff development.

  • If you are traveling outside the country, you may need new or up-to-date vaccinations.
  • Each country may have different requirements for vaccines . Using the link for travel destination requirements, submit the name of the country to which you are traveling to learn about CDC advisories. 
  • Check the vaccines and medicines list and complete your required vaccines and receive your medicines at least a month before your trip.

Physicals for immigration:
  • Individuals applying for U.S. citizenship, seeking permanent residency or a Green Card are required to obtain an immigration physical prior to approval of their application.

  • The purpose of medical examinations is to identify applicants with inadmissible health-related conditions for the Department of State (DOS) and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

  • A contractual Civil Surgeon at the Health Department provides immigration physicals and required health documentation for a fee. This is by appointment only. Call 816-513-6128 to schedule.

  • Available to people between 11-45 years of age.
  • The 2-shot (sometimes 3-shot) series prevents cancer-causing infections by 82 percent.
  • There may be an out-of-pocket fee if you do not have private insurance that covers this vaccine.
